Uknown folder and artist when copying music library

I have been trying to troubleshoot this for weeks, but when I copy my music library from my computer to the EX2 an ‘unknown’ folder is created and all the artist information is copied as ‘unknown’ and therefore shows up in an unknown folder.

When reading the music from my computer, and using any music program such as media monkey or heos there is no ‘unknown’ folder and all the artist information shows correctly. I have no clue what is causing this - help!!!

Right click on the unknown file and look at the Property’s metadata. If it says unknown any where , then it is truly unknown. I have a few unknown music files, and I just fixed it or “got over it”

I’ll have to give that a try. Completely bizarre that there are no metadata issues with the files in their original location. The issue only occurs with the copied versions.
