Does anyone know if it’s possible to create custom navigation trees for browsing the media library? Changing the view to ‘Advanced media navigation’ or ‘By Folder’ does quite cut it for me. Any help would greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have never tried this since it is not supported.
Well with lots of searching on various forums, I have at least now got my music to sort in track order instead of alphanumeric order. Turns out it seems to be a problem with Panasonic Viera. Had to enable SSH, access the drive using WinSCP, which was much easier than using Putty, then add a quirk to the device specific XML. It was straightforward enough once I found out how
