Twonky media server does not recognize all video files (mp4) + missing folders

I have been fighting the same problem for the past few days - multiple mp4 files, encoded with exactly the same settings, apart from video bit rates. Some get correctly detected as videos, other show up as audio.

I have been recoding to different mp4 formats and wasn’t having any luck. Changing the file name appears to solve the problem and the mp4 files are then correctly recognised by twonky as a video file.

Slightly bizarre. This may not be a My Cloud issue, but more likely a Twonky server issue.

I’d be interested to hear what might be causing this bug? It doesn’t seem to be a length of file, or file size issue.

Thanks

Since MP4 can be either video or audio, I’m thinking there’s a metadata element that Twonky sees in the video that triggers it to sort as Audio.

It likely won’t happen if you use the M4V extension (Which is MP4 Video.)
