Twonky: low res photos on a PS4

MyCloud EX2 Ultra running OS5.24.108
Twonky running 8.5.2-5

I have some .jpg photos that are 2048x1368
When I view them on my PS4, they only display at 106x160

The same photos on my Synology NAS running as a DLNA server will happily show at 1920x1080

View them through a web browser on my PC and they are 1398x934

Twonky recognises that it is a PS4
I have tried ‘auto’ for the resolution and also manually setting it as a 1920x1080 on the ‘System-Picture Resolution’ settings.

Any suggestions?

Hi @Floating_On_A_Cloud,

I just have.

After extensive discussions and testing with the Twonky support team (shout-out for their fast and patient help), I have an answer to this problem:

It appears that ‘Media Player’ on PS4 is not displaying the photos correctly because of a Media Player issue, and not a Twonky issue.

Twonky’s DLNA service seems to work perfectly, so perhaps the PS4 just doesn’t work 100% correctly with it. Maybe a future update will resolve it, otherwise you will have to use a different device that supports reading from a DLNA server.
