Hi there I’m having problems connecting externally to twonkey media server - this is my second replaced WD sharespace the first having problems, the first work from an external PC / Iphone but then had problem connecting locally… Anyway I’m using dyndns to resolve Ip address to the box can see the twonkey page etc but when you get to the media it wont let you go any farther you have to change the local ip to the dyndns address to go on to the media etc (blah.dyndns.org:9000) changes to (10.1.1.3:9000web…) so each time changing the local ip to the dyndns is getting very annoying and friends and family can’t stream…Everything works fine on the Lan…Not sure if its twonkey some how not resolving the HTML I’m pretty sure its not the router…Can anyone please help…
Twonky is really designed primarily for local streaming and not streaming over the net. While your setup should work in theory, I don’t know of anyone who’s actually tried it so I’m not sure how helpful the community is going to be able to be in this specific instance. Did you try posting on the Twonky forum? You are far more likely to get the answers you are looking for there, only because their community specializes in this kind of information.
