Two Drives, Separate Locations, Same Data?

Hello,

I work for a company that has a few different production/office facilities and we use a Western Digital drive and MyCloud (I believe it is a “NAS My Cloud Expert Series EX2 Ultra”). But only one office currently is connected to the drive where they do not need to use a VPN to access it. I was wondering if its possible to buy a second Western Digital device that would have the same concurrent data as the MyCloud Drive and still be accessible without a VPN. I’m not clued up on this side of tech and have just been asked to investigate further so apologies if i’m using the wrong terms and language. If I need to provide more details please let me know.

Any help/insight is hugely appreciated thank you.

Kind Regards,
Sam

If you are accessing data remotely, you WANT to use a VPN for security reasons.

Unfortunately, I am not familiar enough with WD apps to know if there is a good file sync app for OS5 these days. If there is. . .having the two NAS units in different offices would bring up the entire VPN issue. . . . but it should be doable.
