If TV is on and the WD TV Live Hub is turned on, is the TV supposed to automatically be synchronized to the relevant HDMI input? I.e. to the input that WD TV Live Hub is connected to?
Do you mean does the hub change the TV to display the Hub when I believe that depends on your TV. My TV does not automatically change the input to the hub when I switch the hub on. I have to manually change the input to see the hub.

My guess would be that it is a matter of the combo TV/Hub. In my particular setting, when I turn on the BD player the receiver switches the HDMI input to it. The Hub and the DirecTV decoder plugged into the same receiver will not cause it to switch inputs when turned on. Sounds to me that the capability has to exist in both devices in order to work.
