Turning "Public" off takes forever

I have a My Cloud EX2 Ultra. I’ve created a share and when I turn off the option “Public” it says Updating… but never finishes until the session is timed out (30 min).
This means that I cannot use user permissions. Is there any solution (I run the latest firmware)? Couldn’t find something with google…

I recommend you perform a ‘System Only’ and then re-install the latest firmware manually.
