I have encountered an error in the installation of the Acronis True Image WD Edition. The setup ended normally and said it was successful, however the desktop icon and start menu icons do not work (missing shortcuts). The search for TrueImage.exe fails. I have the Seagate DiscWizard from Acronis installed, and that menu item and desktop shortcut is now missing. I have installed a new WD drive and want to clone it. Please help.
You probably can’t have two of the same software installed on the same computer like that. I would uninstall all the software, both WD’s and Seagate’s, and reinstall WD’s. However, I’d check to see if WD has an updated version for download before reinstalling.
