Has anyone had any trouble connecting to the My Cloud 2 TB storage through 4g service (through smart phone) after the firmware update? If so, is there anything I am doing wrong or anything that I can do to rectify it?

I have had the same issue. At&t LTE area. Hope there is a fix???
Now mine has started working! Memphis TN Area.

There was some brief interrupt but resolved and all is good.
