Trouble running diagnostic on WD10EARS

Just bought a WD10EARS drive for my server.  Trying to run the Data Lifeguard Diagnostic for DOS from a bootable cd.  The program runs but says something about finding Western Digital drives but they aren’t compatible with this version and to contact Western Digital to receive and “earlier” version of the diagnostic.

Has anyone else had any issues testing their EARS drives?  And why should I need an earlier version?  If anything I’d think I’d need a more recent one.

That’s exactly where I got my current diagnostic version from that’s giving me issues, though.
