I have a 320 Essential that I’ve had since around 2009 or so. I have always been able to install it basically by just plugging it in. Now I have a Windows10. I called the company and they told me to install WD Smartware which I did. It now wants me to use Dropbox. I don’t want to use Dropbox. I just want to see the files that are already saved there. I don’t WANT to do auto backups, etc. JUST want to see the stuff that is already there.

You should be able to see it by just connecting the drive to the computer.
Can you please explain what happens when you plug it in? do you see the drive on disk management?
