Trouble pasting in Rich Text mode

The last few days I have noticed that I cannot paste text into the Rich Text window when making a post from my HP Touchpad. I have to click on the HTML tab and then I am able to paste text and links into the window.   Pasting under Rich Text always worked before…

Browser info

Mozilla/5.0 (hp-tablet; Linux; hpwOS/3.0.5; U; en-US) AppleWebKit/534.6 (KHTML, like Gecko) wOSBrowser/234.83 Safari/534.6 TouchPad/1.0

I am just copying text or links from my tablet to the clipboard. The text copies to the clipboard ok but won’t paste under Rich Text.

TIA

nfodiz,

Which HP touchpad is this?  And are you running Android on it?

Also, is anyone else having issues pasting text into the Rich Text window on the reply page?

There was only one as far as I know. It was discontinued and firesaled CHEAP.

It runs WEBOS

Bill, I’ve entered a case for this.  Let’s see what Lithium says.

Sounds good, thanks Bill

Okay, here’s the bad news.  Lithium doesn’t officially support Webos.  They said, and I quote, “That operating system is actually dead, and is going to be completely redone in a different architecture which is Linux.”  I guess this update has brought that to the surface.

Well they are right about the OS being dead   I can work around it with the HTML tab, it’s just a pain as the formatting gets messed up sometimes when I paste there.

I may have to switch over to my Android Tablet or install Android on the HP Touchpad as I do a majority of my surfing using a tablet.

Is there a way to force my tablet to use the mobile site? Pasting may work from there

I’m actually checking the code on it now.  I’m trying to change the colors on the view links at the bottom, so they’re more visible.  The problem is that I have to try and make sure that I’m not making changes elsewhere, where it will screw up the links.

The Mobile vs. Full links don’t show up until you’re in the Board that lists all the threads.  You should be able to see them there.  Or, you can roll the cursor over the area until it turns into a hand, then click.  You will have to do it for everypage you navigate to, if you want to see the mobile view.
