I just bought 2 new SSD’s (both picture above in the Blue line) and installed fresh OSX’s onto it (Snow Leopard 10.6.8 on a 2011 MBP on one computer and Mountain Lion 10.8.5 on a 2011 MBA) and wondering if I need or should install Trim Enabler? Some stuff I read online says that you don’t need it with an SSD, other articles says yes, wondering what your thoughts were on this?
the SSD will do garbage collection but you need to leave it in a powered on idle state before garbage collection would run. I would install the trim enabler if it were my ssd.
