Does anyone know how to install Transmission 2.84 on the MBL? The ipkg feed only has version 2.82 since 2003. Is there a way to install it using apt-get from the debian feeds?
From this feed perhaps?
http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/pool/main/t/transmission/transmission-daemon_2.84-0.2_powerpc.deb
or this feed?
http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/pool/main/t/transmission/transmission_2.84.orig.tar.xz

I have never tried this since this is not supported. Maybe other users can help you by sharing some experience on this topic.
I do not believe you can install it. Even though these machines have a Debbian Lenny, it is not a full blown OS.
The versions here are customized packages, but then, I am not expert.
I do have 2.82 running without any issues
