Transfering Music CD's

I’m trying to transfer my owned music CD’s to the external drive so I can store the CD’s and not have to dust/look at them anymore.  I managed to transfer a few to test, but I’m unable to transfer the music to my mp3 player…any help would be appreciated.  Also, when I transferred them it was to E:.…now that drive cannot be found and my storage is showing up on F:.…um…Help?
