I’m transfering a 2.55GB file on my LAN from my WD Media Player that has an attached WD My Book to my WD My Cloud. It is taking 22 minutes to transfer this file, does this seem slow?
No, that seems on par… The WD media players can barely eek out 10 MB per second when wired, and usually less when wireless.
What would be the optimal configuration to attain the fastest transfer speed?

Disconnect the drive from your WD and connect it to your PC…
