Hi I have a 10 year old WD my book that has back ups from my old MacBook Pro and my new MacBook Air, I would like to get a my passport and transfer the information over, any suggestions how this can be done as I don’t want to loose some of the old info.
If My Book is accessible, you can connect both drives to computer in order to transfer data form My Book to My Passport directly.
Thanks, what I was trying was to drag over from one icon to the other, didn’t work and getting advise messages, sorted it last night by dragging from my book folder on desk top to my passport in finder sidebar, worked well for data saved from MacBook Air, still going through with the MacBook Pro - its 8 years of work on there so far 12 hours, lets see and keep everything crossed
