Transfer files from local drive problem?!

Everyime i try to copy a file from my local drive (usb) to the internal storage I get a message saying “no media in current folder” 

What am I doing wrong? Shouldn’t be this hard to do such a simple task.

depends on what type of files you are trying to copy

are they “Media” files ?  (Video,Audio,Photos)
