Transfer back up files on WD MY Book to WD Eaystore Portable?

I am replacing the 1 TB WD My Book with the 4TB WD Easystore Portable. Should I try to transfer all the backed up files on My Book to the Easystore before I install the Easystore? There my be some that are in backup but not on the PC.
