This may be a silly question but here goes. I have an EX4100 with 4x4TB drives. It’s set up as RAID 5. Is the total capacity of the unit 4TB or 16TB or somewhere in between?
In RAID5 you’re sacrificing one drive for parity, so the available space will be 12TB.
That said you’ll also probably lose some space in practice to behind the scenes stuff and also the usual losses in drive formatting. So I’d expect the actual available space to be somewhere around 10-11TB or thereabouts.

Thank you very much. I was afraid I only had 4TB because of RAID 5. The use bar in Windows showed all for “partitions” at half used.
