Too late to Format the Drive for a MAC!

I am running OS Mojave10.14 and have just bought the Wireless Pro Passport. It worked out of the box so I never reformatted the drive !

Does anyone know if there is any Downside if I leave it EX-FAT Formatted ?

Unfortunately Ive loaded up a bunch of Files already ! Doh !!

The ExFAT file system does not support journaling but works w/ both Mac & Windows. Since it is non-journaled, it is more likely to run into issues with repeat insertion/ejection.

Can you be more specific with the issues ? Ive loaded up 1TB worth of files already so I need to be pretty sure what I should do. Thanks alot
