Time Machine Reliability Issues

Hello there. Hope someone might have some thoughts on this. We have an EX2 Ultra. Constant reliability issues with Time Machine. Does anyone have any advice on reliable ways to setup Mac OS for this device? We have:

  • Macs with file vault enabled
  • Different Mac OS versions on different Macs (Catalina, Big Sur, Monterey)
  • We’ve tried connecting users with their own login details and the admin account. Also connecting without username / password to public
  • The Macs all see and connect to the drive. Time Machine doesn’t backup

Updated firmware to OS5 to see if this improved things but made no difference to reliability. In fact stopped 1 Mac backing up which backed up previously!
