After a few weeks using Time Machine, I each time get a message that the back has to made totally new because there are problems with the current backup.
What can I do about this?
I sometimes connect wired and sometimes wireless to my network.

I’ve seen this when the backup has been corrupted for some reason, and time machine just decides to create a different backup. On network drives I’ve seen that mounting the backup image and running a check disk from disk utility tends to work.
