What have you tried so far? Are you certain the issue is the update as opposed to the unit coincidentally failing?
It connects and works with my Apple air notebook.
I have rest the PRAM and the SMC which seemed to extend the time before it shuts down the iMac as i was able to navigate through to the 4th window.
Trying Disk utilities also causes the iMac to retsrt after the screen goes black
Just tried to copy files for backing up over using the iMac air and it now is freezing as well - just a note the small light blinks white not red when plugging into the iMac air
