Is there many damaged series in market from WD?
I recently bought one top WD Gold 2TB WDC WD2005FBYZ-01YCBB3 disk from biggest seller in Poland. While turning it off it gave strange grinding sound. I exchanged it to new one - the same grinding sound while spinning down.
WD service said that disk is damaged and made seller to give my money back. OK, I bought third WD Gold… The same grinding sound while spin down. Physically cutting off the power gave the same grinding sound.
Is this a feature of top WD internal drive models?
