My 2TB seems to have a number of flaws. It does not always recognize that there are files to back up and nothing I do seems to wake it up. Furthe,r if it does a background save, it uses up close to half of my processer resources to do it. Also, I wish it would just take all the files from one folder and copy them to the back up folder. instead, it chooses to put my jpgs and raw files in one area, my word documents in another, you get the idea. Why would I want that? And why isnt there an option to turn off that methodology?
This unit does not perform anywhere near expectations and it is definitely going back to Costco. You would think that a oompany that has been manufacturing hard drives as long as Western Digital could put out a better product than this
