There is no media in the current folder

I am trying to access folders on my laptop through wdtv live plus network

I go to  video / networkshares / laptop / users /    ?  … here I can choose default, public , or my name. It shows some different folders for example dektop, downloads , music etc. but all folders display " no media in the current folder.

I am on windows 7 laptop and sharing is enabled.  I can’t go any farther. Can anyone help?

Give read permissions to the user called “everyone” on the share you want to play.
