The WD Elements sometimes is not detected in the PC

HDD WD Elements SE 750GB NTFS USB 3.0 (WDBPCK7500ABK-EESN), PС Windows 7x32, WD TV Live SMP.

When connecting to the PC disk drive lamp flashes rapidly. The disc can be heard the quiet beeps.
The disk is not detected in the PC. I disconnect the drive from the PC.

Is connected to the WD TV Live - the disc properly defined.
Eject a disc from the WD TV Live and then re-connect to your PC. It is well defined.

Six months after buying the drive worked fine,
but last month it happens a second time.

Media Library in the WD TV Live is always off.
I’ve always deleted from the disk folder wd_tv.

The WD TV Live SMP has a bad controller rear USB port.
Can this be the reason?

It seems to me your drive is faulty, but if you can connect your drive to another computer just to make sure if the drive is faulty .

Disc 9 of 10 just fine connected to my PC. I tried several times to connect to another PC - Just such a situation.

I do not understand the other. When the disc does not want to connect to a PC.

I then mount it to the WD TV Live and it is perfectly defined.

I removed it from the WD TV Live and connect to a PC - it is normal is defined.

I have a new WD elements I TB external hard disc(usb 3).It was being detected by my windows xp for two weeks but now fail to detect.It is being displayed in usb ports.It works well with another laptop.The LED continuously flashes and symptoms are similar to the one discussed above.Can the driver be reinstalled.Please guide.

I reinstalled the OS on my PC. Hope this helps.
