I had to open the enclosure and the USB 2.0 port has broken off the daughter board. Is this fixable? If so how?
When you opened the case you voided the warranty. An electronics repair place might be able to solder the port back on. Or you can try finding a new board https://wdc.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/70/session/L3RpbWUvMTM5MDMyNjIwNS9zaWQvZVBrTU9YS2w%3D or you can try finding one on Ebay. I don’t know if this drive has a standard SATA connector or not. If so you might connect as an internal or use a thirdd party case.
