The RMA drive (WD10EARX) failed Extended test-08 Too Many Bad Sectors

Received it yesterday and installed it today.

I am surprised / shocked the new drive is not working.

Test Resut-FAIL

Test Error Code- 08 Too Many Bad Sectors.

What do I do now?

PS can’t find info as to where I was supposed to post the original broken drive to, now there are two drives to be returned…Packaging required for the second drive, is the 30 days deadline appropriate here?

Hi you need to contact WD as they would pay shipping both ways on the RMA drive.
