Trying to delete backup done using usb backup job. Unable to delete jog because of above error code when deleting from desktop. When deleting from mycloud.com I get error message - * Failed to delete directory. (400018) . Running out of disk space.
Did you ever find out why this was happening and how you can overcome it?

Yes. Just finished deleting all files that were causing the problem. Working from the Finder, I identified all the folders on my PR4100 that could not be deleted and then changed ownership permission for all contents to admin. Attempting to delete immediately (via command/option/delete) did not work, but this did work when I drilled down in each folder to the offending subfolders. It was laborious, but eventually successful. Hope it works for you
