Goodevening. An old 1TB 3.5" MyBook just saved someone from driving around 400km to get a SATA-USB interface for emergency data extraction. It takes them all, no matter what brand and even all the SSDs. Thanks for making such cooperative hardware components 
It would be quite helpful to the WD Community if you could kindly clarify and provide the exact model of the WD My Book external disk drive unit used. Different models and different revisions may only work with the original disk drive inside the enclosure.
