System volume information

I am at a loss. I was moving (to another hard drive) several folders. I accidentally moved one into the system volume information file. Now  I can’t move it out or delete it. I  need the space. I am using a 160 g passport. Where to now?

If you can copy out the data, you can then reformat the drive, and start over.
