I think the WD staff has heard of the Synolocker ransomware today or yesterday.
This is malware that installs on NAS and locks/decrypts all the files, like the Cryptolocker ransomware on pc.
Currently only Synology systems are affected: http://forum.synology.com/enu/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=88716
But I think in the future this kind of ransomware might affect our systems too.
Are our systems vulnerable to this exploit? Heartbleed, ssh login,…
If yes, will there be any precautions.
