Swapping pcb disk to fix hardware error

Essentially the disk WDC WD30EZRX failed in about 10 days of work time.
It went offline and it’s impossible to initialize it again because:

The IO operation at logical block address 0x22c800 for Disk 1 (PDO name: \Device\000000e3) failed due to a hardware error.

I got another identical disk from which I could swap the printed board. Not sure it would work, nor if this is feasible without damaging the drive.
I am sure data on the disk are safe and readable, so I need a way to bypass this error.
I’d need to know before returning the disk under warranty for a replacement.

PS the disk spins and keeps turning normally. No strange noise at all, nor headings moving around.
