Support for new larger hard drives in EX2 Ultra

I’m assuming since a 36TB version of EX2 Ultra is available that means I can upgrade my drives to new 18TB ones? Specifically WD181KFGX. Since the current compatibility list is woefully out of date, can someone please confirm?

Hi @srikhi,

Thanks for reporting the issue.

Have you opened a Support Case? If not opened, for more information, please contact the WD Technical Support team for best assistance and troubleshooting:

Yes @Keerti_01, I’ve created a support ticket - although there wasn’t a specific option for NAS products. However, I think your documentation on the product should be updated since it only references up to 8TB drives.

I think you need to replace the 36 watt power supply with a 48 watt. Contact WD to buy it

I have used a larger Power Supply on PR-4100 WD NAS and many laptop PS have the same plug.

easy DIY project but double check work with a volt meter
