Stuck in suspend mode?

HI, I have experienced this issue while on win 7 and now the same on win 10. Plugged in, the external HDD ( [WDBKXH5000ASL-NESN](http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822236204 “WD My Passport 500GB USB 3.0 2.5” External Hard Drive WDBKXH5000ASL-NESN")) light flashes and you can feel the drive spinning. It does not show in my computer/pc, but shows in device manager ( ID’s 'vid1058   pid0748). Ive found workarounds for other operating systems, but have had no luck doing it in win 10. I don’t think the drive iteself is faulty it appears to  be working and is clearly working if its showing up in device manager. Looking for any help I can get to  get this thing recognized and accessible.

What have you tried so far? And is the hard drive listed within Disk Management as opposed to the Device Manager?
