Striped My Book Pro splits into individual drives after sleep

I have an 8tb My Book Pro that is striped connected to a new iMac. Whenever the Mac and My Book wake from sleep mode, the My Book is read as individual drives that are blank. WD utilities says there is something wrong with the configuration of the hard drive, but it is all fine on start up. It is only after sleep mode that it seems to change the configuration, or tries to read it as mirrored when its striped. Each time it splits I have to force shut down. Any ideas?

Hi teresa,glisp,

You can try changing the sleep setting by getting into System Preferences in your MAC. You can follow the steps given below.

1.) Click on Apple icon on the top left corner on Mac screen.
2.) Click on System Preference from the options.
3.) Choose Energy Saver and make the changes there to remove the sleep mode of your drive or Mac.
