Streeming within an app on android?

I want to get the my cloud but I need a question answered.

I would be using it mostly for streaming mp3 through the app poweramp. I could also try any other app. I’m on android.

What I want to know is would the app see the my cloud as a folder/drive and work seamlessly or something else would need to be done.

Hello, yes, WD2go allows you to play your music files with third party apps, but note that not all apps are compatible.

   Is that true for android devices?  I can only get WD’s music program working.  Plus even if you got another app working, I assume you can’t make playlists of the songs on the WD drive is that right?
