Streaming music to android

Hi folks,

I have music on my MBL and I’d like to stream it to my android phone.

Someone recommended I get ES File explorer.

This sees the correct Share but if I try to access it it says:

Login fails

This may be caused by:

  • The account has no permissions

Guess I have to give ES File Explorer my MBL User password somehow?

Or is there another way to steam music?

Yes, I already have WD My Cloud and WD Photos working.

But My Cloud isn’t much of a music player is it?

It seems to just play an album and that’s it.

Whoever told me to try ES File Explorer suggested that I could navigate to my music library then it would ask me to select an app to play the track and then I would have the whole functionality of a dedictaed music player.

Is this possible?

Yes you do. under “Network/LAN” you should be able to add the info to the server you are connecting to.
