Streaming issues using two different routers

I first connected the Livewire to a Linksys wrt54GL router and was able to stream a 1080p DTS 5.1 mkv video through my blu ray player with no problems then I bought a Linksys E2000 router and the video now stutters and freezes. This makes  no sense since the new router has a 1GB switch and everything else about it is faster than the 54GL.

Does anyone have any ideas what might be happening I am running DD-WRT firmware on both routers.

TBH, I think this question would be better handled on the DD-WRT forums, as the WD Livewire does not seem to be the issue…

Everything was working.  You changed router and it stopped working.  I’d look at the router!  ;)

The only thing that comes to mind is make sure UPnP is enabled / working on the new router.  

A quick google suggests that, by default, DD-WRT sets UPnP to “off”.

Let us know if that was the cause.  :)

Nope, that was not the problem  the other router also had the uPnP service off.

I will try the dd-wrt forums thanks for the suggestion.
