I have a SMP in the living room and another in the bedroom. When I stream a mkv file, even a 6gb 2hr movie, everything plays fine. But, when I stream a dvd, 5gb 2 hr movie, there is so much stuttering that it is unwatchable.
I would assume it is a network issue but the fact that it plays larger mkv files doesn’t make sense. I’m using a wd 200 mbps powerline adapter.
I also have a windows media player extender in my bedroom which plays just fine attached to the same network. Those files are huge, over 4gb per hr.
What is going on? Any words of wisdom?
