I have gen1 WDMYCLOUD OMV system. Can i stream video to my computer? maybe via link or something?
First, start by reading the My Cloud user manual (https://support.wdc.com/product.aspx?ID=904), if you haven’t already, to learn how to use the various features of the My Cloud including streaming media from the My Cloud.
Next, generally to stream media from the My Cloud to a local networked computer one can use third party DLNA media client software on their computer or they can use Windows File Manager or Mac Finder to open the media file on the My Cloud and play it.
One can use the Twonky administration page in their web browser to view/play media on their local My Cloud. For example http://wdmycloud:9000, then select Video, Music or Photos from the top right of the web page…
