will the WD Live TV hub stream to ipad as well ?

THere are lots of apps that can stream from a DLNA device (such as a Hub or other WD player) to an iPad. 

Look into apps called Twonky Beam, PlayOn, WDTVMedia HD, and countless others.  These are some of my favs.
