Storing Files - HELP

Hi, I have a MAC 10.11.6

Just bought My Passport 4TB. Did the MAC installation - all good.

Then, I want to start manually transferring my computer folders/files into the hard drive, but it won’t let me do it…Panic sets in…I am clearly have missed a step or doing something wrong?

Can you please help? Thanks!

In which file system did you re-formatted the drive?

Did you purchase the My Passport Wireless Pro or just the regular My Passport? The former is MAC compatible out of the box as it is formatted with exFAT. The latter is formatted as NTFS. If you purchased the regular My Passport, did you reformat the drive?

If you did purchase just the regular My Passport, you may want to post in its respective forum for Mac.
