I bought the ex4 and 2 x 3tb wd red to store my data in it. After I transferred a lot of data on it I saw that the NAS was set to raid 1 by default and I tried to turn it to raid0, thinking it will warn me before starting to format and erase my data (stupid me).
When it started formating disk1 I interrupted it and after a restart it says that the disks have no format. Is there a way of saving the data on the disks?
Thanks for your help and best regards.
I’m sorry to read that you are unable to access the data on the unit. I would recommend to contact a professional data recovery service. However, you could try to use a free data recovery software from the internet
Thanks Iluna_polanco,
I had the idea, too and tried it with recuva, but it doesn´t recognize the NAS (any suggestions which app would work on that base?). Do you think it would work if I put the hdd in my pc and tried it? Was not sure wether my PC would even recognize the hdd?
best regards
