Still CAN NOT access locally my Home Duo

I still can not install the “My Cloud” app that is required to access my Home Duo locally.

Yes, I did disable firewall and antivirus and I have the latest WD Discovery.

I have a log file, this would probably help someone who knows the product. Help would be much appreciated, the device is just few weeks old and I really would like to use it.

WHen installing the My Cloud app, it shows first “downloading”, then “installing” (and windows asks for permission to install it) and then absolutely nothing happens.

Local access to the drive is not avaiable as far as i see.
There is only the ‘fake’ networkdrive of WD. And for that you need internet connection.
Programs like ACRONIS TRUE IMAGE don’t work with that drive because it’s not listed.
I have the same problem, hope they’ll fix it and offer an interface like WD Mycloud Ex2 or so.
Terrible, because i wasted a lot of time, and I’m not the only one…

This whole thing is absolutely annoying and as a customer I feel like they have cheated my money with a product that is ■■■■ !!!

I can use only the browser interface, UNBELIEVABLE. That “WD discovery” + “my cloud” is not installing at Win 8.1 :frowning: :frowning:

Not only that this box is nearly useless, there is no one who really wants to support customer., this forum seems to be just a fake one, I have been waiting here since December 9th and got only a very non technical reply from someone who do not really know the product at all. :frowning: :frowning: :frowning:
