The credentials sent via “ssh-copy-id” don’t survive a power cycle on My Cloud. This happens on 2 My Clouds that I own. I also have 1 other My Cloud and (3) My Book Live drives that work properly (e.g., the credentials survive a power cycle).
I suspect the two devices where settings are volatile are gen2/V2 firmware devices, which reconstruct the OS from a compressed image every boot. Whereas the MBL and Gen1/v4 firmware device do not reconstruct the OS every boot.
