SSH/Local access onto MyCloud in local network

Hello,

I have got an 3 TB MyCloud NAS device connected to my router. Now I want to access it via ssh from a local PC which is in the same network, the NAS’s IP is 192.168.1.224.
E.g. I created the user friend99 with his email friend99@gmail.com

When I do ssh friend99@192.168.1.224 and then enter the password, access is always denied :confused:

Does anybody have an idea why or how I can solve my problem?
Is there a possibility to access it locally without the internet not being the root user, e.g. friend99?

did you enable SSH in the dashboard? If so try ssh root@192.168.1.224
use welc0me as the password. That is a zero not an O.

Don’t think you can access the My Cloud using a user name other than root when using SSH.
